CHRPA's Mission:

To assist the disadvantaged of our community to live in and maintain humane housing

Who we are & What we do...

Community Home Repair is a non-profit agency dedicated to assisting low income homeowners in Tucson and Pima County. We provide emergency home repairs,as well as adaptive and safety modifications for people with disabilities. We partner with other agencies that have an interest in providing these services also, as well as with city and county programs, neighborhood associations, religious and civic organizations, health care providers and the community at large. We intend to be accessible to the members of the community that need assistance the most, and we strive to meet those needs in a timely and effective manner.

In our endeavors to provide a client-centered, quick response community service, we have received many awards over our twenty five years serving the community. These include awards from the Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Arizona Housing Authority Director's Association (AHADA), the City of Tucson, Pima County, and the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO).

We invite you to learn about what we do, and to join us in our effort to serve the members of the community who need a hand with a leaky roof, a broken pipe, a furnace or cooler that has quit on them, or any number of difficulties that people face with their homes. We are here to serve, and we are looking for partners to assist in many capacities—from turning wrenches to serving on the Board of Directors, providing funding or donating building materials. The needs are many, and many hands are required to meet that need.

Our program depends on grant funding and the contributions of our many supporters.

Currently, we receive funds and other support from the following:

  • The Pima County Community Dev't Block Grant
  • The City of Tucson Community Dev't Block Grant
  • The Tohono O'Odham Nation
  • Tucson Electric Power Company
  • The Southwest Gas Corporation
  • The Trico Electric Charitable Trust

...and individual contributors like you.
