| Back O' The Page Stories 6/06 By Scott CoverdaleWe got a call from a man who lives in Picture Rocks. His wife has cancer, and she was undergoing chemotherapy, which is bad enough by itself, but also makes heat pretty unbearable. They live in a mobile home, their heat pump had bitten the proverbial dust, and it was 110 degrees in the trailer. Ceiling fans were not making much of an impression on the climate. I don't know how they got our number, but they did and asked if there was anything we could do for them. I sent Dan Wilhelm to scope it out, which he did, and the next day he and Patrick went again and installed a new roof jack, water line and cooler. Dan and Patrick went from there to another couple of jobs, and before they had gotten back to the office that day, the client called crying to thank us for providing him with the cooler. He said we would never know how much we had done for him and his wife. That's probably true, since I can't really imagine having cancer and chemotherapy and no cooler in a mobile home. But it's a good thing to be able to provide help to people who are having to go through it.
